Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi!
I have a shop at https://loveboxpr.com
This shop uses a 3rd party app to calculate shipping rates based on distance. Google merchant center does not have this option, nor a way to connect them. The shopify feed has been consistently dissaproved for unknown reasons, I have corrected anything they mentioned and the organic listings work, the merchant account is suspended due to delivery issues. What I want is google shopping to use the zip codes to apply a distance based rate, and allow me to use the apps data, but if nothing else just to do that without dissaproving somehow. I have even tried a flat shipping rate, doesnt work either. Any experts here have resolved this problem? Is it a good idea to attempt a manual upload of the feed, as I have seen shopify product feed is not correct for the field identifiers or even similar to what google accepts, and upon doing that, how do I fix this shipping problem?

This is an accepted solution.
Use automatic, then check if its correct by going to GMC > Products > All Products > click on a product > scroll to the center and view the shipping results. You can do tests and compare.
If it wrong, enable manual, and in GMC add a plus modifiier.
Shipping settings in GMC must be accurate or overestimate.
Using 3rd party shipping apps can not be imported in GMC.
If you want to replicate the settings, you will need to do it manually with postcodes, dimensions, and size to match up. However, this is way too difficult and I would not even bother going down this route.
I recommend you either change the shipping app to use Shopify native system.
Or set an overestimate manually.
Change the feed, will do nothing to resolve the issue.
Thanks a lot Emmanuel, I can switch back to the native system, originally we could not use it because shopify was unsuccessful in recognizing our shops address when it was new. I hope now changing back to the shopify system will work, it is just sad to have to sacrifice the functionality that app provides especially the deliveries scheduling calendar.
Appreciate your time and please stay in touch.
Sincerely,
Zach
One last question, the settings in GMC SHIPPING to use the shopify zip codes is "MANUAL" or "AUTOMATIC" ? The GMC is also suspended and organic traffic is working well to this site so I don't want to interrupt its operation in any way for these long approval processes.
