Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello!
I have a (hopefully not unique) case where we're fulfilling online orders from our warehouse that is next to the physical store (that tracks its own inventory). I'd like online shoppers to be able to select local pickup and then our cashier at the store to actually collect payments for those local pickups.
For now, that doesn't seem possible because our physical store is not set to fulfil online orders (which is correct, because the inventory for our online orders is in the warehouse), BUT, we'd still like our customers to pick the orders up there.
What am I missing?
Thank you!
If you are going to pick the products from your warehouse then just set a different delivery method say "local pick up" then take the orders round to the shop.
Hey! That is a good solution but still doesn't work because then it's considered as "shipping" and not local pick up, and the whole customer experience is borked up. 😕 Also, the POS in the physical store can't accept payments for that and/or mark it as fulfilled.
Hi Jure_Zove,
If you cannot find a native solution on Shopify, you could take a look at our Store Pickup + Delivery app. You can create a location within our app that has the address of the collection point and select to fulfil orders from your preferred Shopify location. The app has a huge range of features and a 14-day free trial.
We offer full onboarding, via email, telephone, live chat and screen share. If you would like to try the app or have any specific questions just drop us a line at support@zapiet.com.
Wishing you all the best,
Kitty
