Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello Shopfiy community,
We have a supplier page that does not sell online and place orders through emails/invoices - However clients visit our site to review products and we always get requests about shipping cost - so rather have this available to them directly on the website/product page.
Since they do not " add to cart" or "checkout" is there a way we can still have this feature in the backend of the theme or app?
Thanks for the help
Hi @eyeseeyou,
Thank you for getting in touch with your question and for detailing your issue. As you're probably aware, shipping rates on Shopify are calculated at checkout, as the system uses the customer's shipping address entered in at checkout to calculate which shipping rate(s) they are eligible for. There are apps that allow for these rates to be calculated and shown before this stage, such as Shipping Rates Calculator Plus, however this is typically done on the cart page.
My recommendation would be to manually provide estimated shipping costs on the product pages, if possible, and offer customers an easy way to contact you for a quote. Do you offer flat rate shipping, or calculated rates from a shipping provider? Do you ship to numerous countries or just domestically?
Kind regards,
