Merchant Account for CBD

i want to sell CBD Products. 

I am based in Austria and i am struggeling to find a suitable merchant account for selling my products and take card payments on my site. 

Any help would be great!

Hi CannaFuchs,

From what I can gather in reading your brief post, the answer is, yes. There is an easy solution that can work for you. You need 'Google Pay'. It can be activated instantly. You'll be able to accept all of the major credit cards immediately. Even if you're selling CBD related process. Understand that to avoid violating Shopify Payments Policy (which at this time prohibits the sale of CBD because their payment processing partners don't support it), I'm giving you a work around that does NOT violate that policy.

Hopefully, Shopify moderators won't have a problem with me sharing this link to Google.

2. If you have a Gmail account, simply log in. Then, open a second Tab and click here https://pay.google.com/intl/en_au/about/

Finally, inside of your Shopify admin panel settings you will need to choose 'Manual Payments' and then an 'Alternative Payment Method' to enable Google Pay for credit card acceptable.

I’m having a hard time figuring this out... i’m not allowed to use Shopify payments, it was deactivated because I am selling CBD products. According to According to the website, you need to use shopify payments in order to accept payments through Google pay. I tried looking under alternative payment methods, but Google pay is not listed. Really confused as to how I can use Google pay to accept payments on shopify if they won’t let me use Shopify Payments because I am selling CBD. I’m getting extremely frustrated trying to work with Shopify and finding a payment provider that will work with them that will work with them so that I can sell CBD. I have been paying monthly for Shopify for several months now and have not even been able do use it to sell a single product because I am still trying to figure out how to even get payment processing, just because I sell CBD. Which is perfectly legal, any recent regulatory change in the banking industry has completely cleared the way for banks and payment processors to do business with CBD merchants. Get with the program, already, Shopify, or I’m going elsewhere.

Could you please share how to integrate Google Pay properly? I have the same problem...since i sell CBD, shopify payments is disabled on my account, and don't know how to get to activate google pay, as my only options are manual payments, COD, or paypal (which i cant use). i'm so frustrated i'm thinking i'm leaving shopify...

I do not think Google Pay is available by default on Shopify Payment Gateway lists. But Google pay can be integrated as a third-party gateway to your store.

Hi GreenSpirit,

CBD sellers using Google Pay must integrate service into their website via API code/HTML & JavaScript. You cannot use Google Pay nor Apple Pay by activating Shopify Payments. You are selling a federally regulated product. Shopify Payments cannot be used if you're selling CBD.

1. Google Pay must be integrated via API code/HTML and JavaScript directly into your checkout page and website theme.
2. If using Google Pay,  only bank-issued debit cards bearing a Visa or MasterCard logo are accepted. However, that's not a problem. Funds setting into your bank account within minutes, not days.
3. There are no monthly fees, no transaction fees, no outside payment gateway is necessary, and no risk of charge-backs.
4. It takes approximately 2 to 3 hours for a coder/developer to set up service for your website. That means you can begin accepting payments on the same day. 

By that way, I'm the guy who wrote the software app and API code for CBD sellers using Google Pay into Shopify. That's my area of expertise.

Hey Kevin, I am not following. You wrote in a post that you easily could walk one through the process in just 5 minutes over the phone, but in this post it seem to take 2-3 hours to integrate, and one must be familiar with HTML, API and Javascript. IF this is something one can do themselves without knowledge of coding, would you find it in your heart to send me the instructions on how to do so? I have spent I do not know how may months, trying to find a merchant account.
