Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
We just started using Shopify so maybe we are missing something obvious but this is driving me nuts:
If I log into the back end, go to Orders > Drafts and then create a manual order, Shopify will automatically but this message across the bottom of the packing list:
"Customer service team has been notified to calculate shipping fees and contact for payment."
What is this ridiculous message? I didn't add it, no one needs to get notified, the shipping fees were already calculated and the customer definitely does not need to see this message on their packing slip. I can't even understand the logic behind this magically appearing message. How do I make it go away?
(I know that I can click on the details of the order and then click the pencil icon in the Notes section and delete this message - but we are not putting this message here, Shopify is)
Hi @rocinante13, That message seems to be automatically generated by Shopify when the shipping fees are not fully set or calculated when creating a draft order. While you already know how to remove it manually, you can ensure Shipping Fees are calculated before finalizing the draft. You can manually apply shipping costs to the draft order before marking it as completed. Shopify adds this note when shipping fees are missing or set to $0.
@rocinante13 if that still doesn't solve the issue, try customizing the packing slip template in Shopify. Here is the link to the official guide on how to customize packing slips: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/fulfillment/managing-orders/printing-orders/packing-slips/customi...
