Missing/Delayed Payouts in Canada (plus horrendous Shopify Support)

Anyone else missing their daily payouts over the past few days?

Called my bank (RBC) and after several phone calls, finally found out there is a system-wide issue that has prevented Shopify payouts from being deposited to RBC accounts (not sure if other banks are affected).

The Shopify support chat is an absolute joke. I don't understand how this company can get away without having any alternative options for support. Literally, every single time there is an issue, it is the same formula:

1) pepper me with over-the-top pleasantries (e.g. Thank you so much for bringing this issue to me, I am here to help you, I will do my best to make sure your concerns are resolved)

2) use time delay tactics (e.g. give me a few minutes while I investigate), taking 5-10 minutes between replies
3) provide standard replies that are basically copy/paste of the text already found in the Shopify support articles
4) Loosely imply that the issue will be escalated to "higher department" (their words, not mine). Every single time this has happened to me in the past, no one has ever followed up, except after it was too late, usually a month or more later

It is almost like Shopify's tactic is to wear us out so we give up. I usually just give up. But today's issue is serious, large payouts missing causes a lot of damage. Tried to call the head office in Ottawa - the number is disconnected. Can't call or email anyone else. There is the email for Tobias Lutke somewhere online, doubtful it's real or accurate.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this with their payouts and if you think we have any recourse for holding Shopify accountable for this.

I have not received a payouts since mid December. Same story with Shopify team. I don't know what to do at this point. My region is Europe so i suppose it's a general issue

Same issue here. Their support is crap and they need an support 800#.  While I'm receiving small payments my large ones on Sundays have been rejected by my bank 3 weeks in a row. Shopify's reason was my bank account has been frozen by my bank. I contacted my bank my bank told me that's ridiculous there's nothing wrong with my account it was never Frozen. Its been 3 weeks and each Sunday my bank rejects the payment because these idiots from what my bank told me have it coded as a savings account and this is a checking account. The same checking account I've been using for almost 5 years nothing has changed on my end. The only thing that has changes they switch payment processors they don't want to admit that they screwed up and now I'm having to go through hoops to provide my bank statement to prove that my account can debit in credit. Shopify is a freaking joke and I am looking for another platform at this point because these morons can't seem to do things correctly. This is the second major I've had with them. Last issue was my entire shop somehow having every item that was archived set to active. I'm talking thousands of archived products were set to active. They blamed me and after pushing harder on them we found out it was some new thing on there and that they were launching that caused the issue. This is one of the **bleep**tiest companies to do business with and I'm extremely disappointed with my decision to put my shop on their platform. They need to get their **bleep** together
