I'm creating a web store serving the market in Hong Kong.
The default shipping zone, Hong Kong, under Settings>Shipping and Delivery, consists of 3 regions, namely:
However, New Territories also consist of Island Districts (see layout), located far away from the main island. Shipping to Island Districts (under New Territories) requires different shipping rates compared to other districts under New Territories.
As Shopify has grouped New Territories as a single region, I couldn't set different shipping rates for different places within New Territories, such as areas within the Island Districts and non-Island Districts.
Any solution or alternative work-around without using third-party calculation apps? which may include modifying/add sub-regions to Shopify's specified region?
I have the exact same problem.
Shopify agent said they can only have 3 regions. So you cannot add a 4th (outlying islands, etc)
I thought of a way to use 2/3 regions, rename them, and then have the 3rd one named something to outlying islands - that wouldve solved the problem but you cannot edit the default region names. So there is no solution to this...
