Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi folks,
I'm looking for some advice, as I can't quite see a question that has my specific dilemma:
I have a shop that has two domains, the one we have when we first set up our Shopify that we can't delete and the free one that we renamed and switched over to. Perfect!
For our checkout boxes, the pop-up from our website shows the old checkout or domain name, instead of the active and correct live one straight from Shopify. How do I get this to switch over to the new one? The top one is what we want and happens directly from our Shopify store, the lower one is our old url that redirects from buy now buttons on our website and breaks the flow for the user, should they be paying attention.
We've got two options on the checkout page, is it as simple as deleting the one we're not using, or will the cause breaks throughout the buying/ checkout process for that url?
Any advice would be grand, as we'd really like to have this looking as seamless as possible.
Thanks,
L
To fix this, you'll need to update the "Buy Now" button links on your website to point to the correct, active Shopify domain. Simply deleting the old option might cause issues, so it's best to review and update any old links to ensure a smooth checkout flow. Once updated, the correct checkout page should show consistently.
Thanks for the advice. I tried your approach and it looks like the buy now button is pulling through that original domain, instead of the updated one that we're meant to be using. I'll speak with support on how to properly ensure we're changed over, as I'm clearly doing something wrong here!
