I'm getting extremely frustrated with the lack of support through Shopify, and I've only been on the platform a week. I signed up with the promotional $1 deal to explore moving everything over from Wix, and this whole ordeal isn't giving me confidence.
I need to 2FA every change I make, it seems like. Which wouldn't be a problem, but it insists on using the authenticator app (even though I have a recovery phone number set up) and that app isn't working. I've tried to contact support numerous times, but it tries to send me to an AI first, and the AI bot is just spinning and spinning and not answering my question. Even here, no forum exactly matches my issue so I essentially had to select something random. I'm hoping a Shopify rep sees this and can remedy the issue.
Currently, I need to transfer my balance to my bank account, but I can't do that with 2FA broken. I will also need to, sometimes, have a line to support, and if that's not an option, I might have to reexplore my options for hosting. At least with Wix I can get live support when I need it.
@Ameris_Poquette I feel your pain. It can be hell contacting their support. Seeing that you've submitted the ticket, hopefully an agent will follow up in short order. If you'd like to chat with a live agent now, then I could share a secret tip with you: just enter "human" in chat about 3 times:
