Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I ordered a chest of drawers from Zelti on 2/20/23. It was never received (said it would be delivered March 2-7). Tried to contact someone to get my $399.00 refunded but the site no longer exists and the phone numbers associated with it are wrong. How do I proceed?
Hi there, @DCRISP62!
Welcome to the Community! Definitely a great place to gather some input regarding anything about the platform!
With regards to your inquiry, we always point you to reach out to the store directly as Shopify does not have access to any specific transactions our merchants perform on their store. We will do our best to assist you in pointing you in the right direction to get this matter resolved however.
Since the store/merchant is no longer available online nor longer responding to your attempts of communication, we recommend reaching out to your bank now, the one you used to complete this transaction. You can inform them of this situation and they can assist you in getting your money back.
I have also attached our Order FAQ page for further information for you about this matter.

Thanks for the added information, @DCRISP62.
I have linked this Aftterpay article to help us through this situation. I recommend going over the information provided. It also provides you the steps to dispute this transaction since you have not received the product provided on top of, not hearing anything from the merchant about this order.
The article also provides next steps regarding navigating this dispute situation. I have also attached our Order FAQ page for your reference to provide a clear explanation on Shopify's role in these situations.

The phone number for the "seller" is a residential number and the elderly lady that answered says she has no idea what I'm talking about. The jewelry store listed as the seller (no idea why it's a jewelry store since I ordered a chest) replied that she is a jewelry store and has no idea what I'm talking about. The other email given for a Kenneth Pulver hasn't responded to my email. It has to be some kind of fraud.
Does Shopify check the companies they use at all?? My bank won't get involved because it was paid for through afterpay (the only option given). Afterpay says it's not their problem and to contact the merchant which I've tried as noted above. So Am I just out $399 or is there anything else I can do?
Thank you, Debbie
