Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I have spent over 45 minutes trying to figure out how to ship a USPS medium flat rate package to a customer who has an FPO address and is on the USS Emory S Land. I verified that I have the correct address for them, made sure the customs info is filled out correctly, and made sure all other information is correct. Shopify first tells me that the address cannot be verified. I bypass that and purchase the shipping label anyway, then get a red error box saying "No shipping rates could be found for the destination address." I have shipped to this customer before at the exact same address when I was using a different e-commerce platform. Can someone please tell me what's wrong here?
did you get an answer? I'm having the same problem.
I figured it out on my end... You need to make sure the Customs Information is correct as APO has some restrictions what goes in and out of their shipping. For me it was the weight.
This is the correct fix for the issue. If you use dimensional weight for the item, and then put in the correct weight for shipping, the custom for throws an error because the customs weight will pull your dimensional weight from product description. Just click the change the customs information link, and update the customs weight to the actual weight. Presto, the shipping label can then be purchased.
