Only 1 item in stock, but can add more to cart?!

Hi, I sell unique items where there is only one for sale.

I have enabled inventory tracking and the available stock is shown as 1 item.

All good, but when I go to my store, I can add more than one to my cart.

How do I stop that and limit it to one item please?

Those were alredy set up like that.

When viewing the cart it has the same problem - buyer can increase quantity.

I did find that when I try to checkout that it reduces the quanity to 1.

It's not ideal though.

Any other thoughts?
