Payment Methods | Payout Account

Hi,


(1) My PayPal (Business Account) is Active as Payment Method. (sorry for this question) Is this also where the payment/my payout will be received?

(2) I saw from YouTube videos that there is an option for Shopify Payments Payout (Credit/Debit). But I don't have that option. How can I access that payment option for my customer to pay through Credit/Debit Card?

Welcome to the Shopify Community.

 

I understand you have questions surrounding payment methods, how to receive payments and how customers can pay.

 

In regard to PayPal, when you create your account on Shopify, Shopify creates a PayPal Express Checkout account using the email address you use to sign in to your store. If you already have a PayPal account with that email address, then you receive payments from orders made with PayPal right away. This means that when a customer places an order on your store using PayPal Express Checkout, PayPal will remove the funds from the customer's account and transfer the funds to your PayPal business account. PayPal allows payment through credit cards, bank accounts, buyer credit, or PayPal account balances. You can find more information here: PayPal Express.

 

For your second query, Shopify Payments is only available to stores that operate in certain countries or regions. To see if Shopify Payments is supported in your country/region, you can check our resource here. To clarify, Shopify Payments allows you to accept all major payment methods as soon as you create your store.

 

If you're not located in a supported country or region, not to worry as we have an additional resource where you can enter your country/region to search for third-party payment providers available to you.
