Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello, all!
Just wondering how to change the bank details that are connected to our Shopify store. I've looked at some instructions, but I can't see the options that are in them since we're using Stripe and PayPal as payment providers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
*Edit: I think my boss used Shopify Payments before, but now I can't see where to add that payment provider again.
Hi @Ela_V_TSM,
Hyde here from Shopify.
When you set up your Shopify store, Shopify creates a PayPal Express Checkout account for the email address you used to set up your store. If you already have a PayPal account with that email address, then you receive payments from orders made with PayPal right away. If you want to issue refunds or manually capture payments, then you need to finish setting up your PayPal account.
To use PayPal on your store, you should upgrade your personal account to a business account. Most functions and tools provided by PayPal for business owners are only available when using a business account. There's more on this here.
In relation to Stripe, because you are using a third-party payment gateway you will need to edit your bank account details within the Payment gateway admin yourself.
If you were using Shopify Payments, then here is how you would change your bank details for that gateway.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have more questions about this!
All the best, Hyde.

Hi there, Hyde!
Our PayPal account is actually already set up, but it won't accept the payout since the payment provider we had at the time of the purchase was Shopify Payments. I tried deactivating PayPal and Stripe to set up Shopify Payments again, but the button/link I need to press to activate Shopify Payments doesn't appear.
We actually have 2 stores on Shopify, though: the other uses Shopify Payments as a payment provider. Is that why I can't see the "Activate Shopify Payments" button on our other store?
