So there’s a glitch that Shopify has with plaid where plaid has the correct bank account on file and when you click on the bank account you’d like to use Shopify gives you a “server error”. This happened to me and I refreshed my page to try to add a bank account for payouts again, and when I refreshed the page there was completely random bank account info on my payout account. I have no idea how this happened and I can’t change the bank account on file because I obviously don’t know the accounting and routing number of a completely different account. I notified Shopify support and followed up everyday with them on the issue for a week. They told me it was escalated to their account security team and when I’d ask for an eta they’d always tell me “hopefully by the end of the day”. It has been 2 weeks now and the issue is still not resolved. So now there is all this money on my account that I can’t use since payouts are with held due to this issue still not being resolved. I’m posting this here to see if anyone’s had this same issue and what the fastest way to get this resolved would be since the support/ account security team hasn’t been a help or shown any urgency
Update, the day I posted this someone followed up with me finally by asking for my ID. Not sure how much longer it'll be after this for them to remove the bank acct on file. I reached to Shopify support again to get an ETA on this and they just told me to "be patient".
