Payout Nightmare

So I made my first sale June 1st… received payout on June 5th as scheduled. Next sale was June 5th with payout date set for June 10th. On June 10th I saw the balance move to the “this amount on today’s payout” tab. The next day I looked at it was moved from today payout back to balance. It is now June 18th and still have no answers or reasons why I have not received my payout. I’ve talked to 1-2 agents daily and got every answer from “ just hold tight. It’ll be there tonight.” To “ I’ve escalated this to the escalation team and they are investigating it thoroughly.” But still I don’t have any reason why or any expectation when I will receive my payout.  I’ve checked my email and help desk email or support messages and everything is verified and good to go. I have sales I want to use Shopify for but not if I have to wait 15+ days from time of purchase to when payout will be sent( if then). I like using Shopify but I am getting NO CONCLUSIVE ANSWERS. Please … anyone help. I’m trying to keep my business alive but Shopify doesn’t want to be my teammate. At least that’s what it seems.

Agree that 15+ days is annoying, but not abnormal in the world of CC gateways. I think you just need to change your expectations.

If you are waiting to supply high-ticket items after money shows in your actual bank account, then consider different payment options like manual bank deposit or similar.

Well nope they just ended up banning me for no reason. Except I was “high risk” shouldn’t that have been vetted before I had an initial payout? So there holding funds for 120 days.. looks like I gotta get a lawyer.

Yeah that sucks. I've learned that certain product categories and business models are just not a good fit for Shopify because of risks like this.
