Paypal email unverified before customer pays, and now neither Shopify or Paypal has an answer....

Hello all, I have just set up my ecommerce store and had a few transactions but just had my first paypal one. I didn't set up a paypal business before, so once I received the transaction, I quickly set up a paypal business account. However, this transaction still isnt showing up in my paypal account as it was before I verified my account. Contacted paypal who told me to contact shopify. Shopify customer service told me to go back to paypal or direct to the customer....I don't think it's right to go to the customer, can anyone advise? Thank you
