Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
When I first created my store I used an email which I no longer have access to anymore and I also used the email to create my PayPal account. Since losing access to the old email, I changed the store email to one that I had access too. However, my PayPal Express Checkout was still linked to my old email and I got a sale today where someone paid through PayPal and I see this error message: "PayPal Express Checkout is still processing this order's payment. To make sure you get paid, wait for the payment to be successful before fulfilling this order."
I was wondering if there was any way to access the funds or if anyone has had the same issue before.
Hi, @Flxstore!
Thank you for reaching out here! If the order has already been placed and funds are being processed, I would recommend reaching out to Paypal Support so they can help you with regaining access to this account. Since the payment has already been placed, I assume these funds would be sitting in the original Paypal account you've set up, which unfortunately we have no access to on our end. So PayPal is definitely the next best steps from here!
Once you've sorted that, I would recommend deactivating the PayPal Checkout on your store and reactivating it with your new email address so you can access future funds that are paid via PayPal! Disabling the gateway will unlink that initial account, then when you enable it again, it will prompt you to log into PayPal to link the account again. At that stage, you can go ahead and link a new account, which would be the account in which you would like to receive the funds from your sales.
