When you have multiple Shopify stores, you have the option to either link one PayPal account to all of them or various PayPal accounts to each one. The choice depends on your specific business needs and preferences.
Linking one PayPal business account can simplify financial management as all payouts will be consolidated in a single account. This approach is beneficial if you prefer centralized funds and streamlined administration. Using multiple separate PayPal accounts, on the other hand, allows clear separation of funds and financial tracking. It also provides more customization options for payment settings and branding for each individual store.
If you end up linking one PayPal account, there's a workaround you can do to differentiate the funds and that is to format the order IDs in each of your stores. You can set a unique prefix or suffix so you can easily identify which store the payout comes from.
I hope that helps you come to a decision on how you set up your PayPal gateway. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to share them here and I'll gladly discuss them here.
