Pre-calculated, unique shipping price for each product, how to?

Hello there, have a furniture shop that has thousands of products for sale that are large and bulky, and I've calculated and assigned a shipping price for every product. All information is on a CSV file that I use to manage my inventory via Matrixify.

My question is: how do I configure my store to present the shipping rate to the customer? I don't require any special live rates or complex shipping calculations, just the shipping price that's been assigned to the product being purchased. I am on the basic shopify plan.

Very difficult to do this without a shipping calculator app. You could create a shipping profile for every item, but I think Shopify has a limit of maximum 100 shipping profiles.

You will have to get CCS enabled for your store and use a free app like ours ShipMagic to setup rates per product. Reach out to our support, they will help you to bulk upload rates from the csv into our app.

Automate & bulk assign products to shipping profile: Auto Shipping Profiles: Shipr
Calculate accurate shipping rates: Shipping Calculator: ShipMagic
Hide, rename, reorder payment methods at checkout: Payment Customization: PayMix

Hi @MikeSC,

Since you already have the shipping prices assigned to each product in your CSV file, you can follow these steps to display the shipping rates to your customers during the checkout process:

  1. Prepare Your CSV File: Ensure that your CSV file contains the necessary product information, including the SKU or product identifier and the corresponding shipping price for each product.

  2. Import the CSV File to Shopify: To import the shipping rates, you can use the Matrixify app or any other suitable app for importing data to Shopify. Make sure the products in your CSV file match the products in your Shopify store. The app should provide options to map the shipping price data correctly to your products.

  3. Create Custom Shipping Profiles: Since you have already assigned shipping prices for each product, you can create custom shipping profiles for them. Each profile will represent a different shipping rate based on the product's assigned shipping price.

  4. Configure Shipping Settings: In your Shopify admin dashboard, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery. Here, you'll find the shipping settings for your store.

  5. Add Custom Shipping Zones: Create shipping zones for the regions or countries where you want to offer your products. For example, you can have a "Domestic" zone for your country and an "International" zone for other countries.

  6. Add Shipping Rates to Each Zone: In each shipping zone, add the custom shipping profiles you created earlier. This will associate the correct shipping rates with the products based on the shipping prices in your CSV file.

  7. Test the Checkout Process: Before making your store live, perform a few test orders to ensure that the correct shipping rates are being applied during checkout. This will help you verify that everything is working as expected.

By following these steps, your Shopify store will display the shipping rates that you have assigned to each product in your CSV file. Customers will be able to see these shipping rates during the checkout process and choose the appropriate shipping option for their order.
