Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I have a mandatory checkbox in the cart, which says: I agree to the terms and conditions
And it has a link. But the link doesn't work.
It works in Admin but doesn't work for a guest.
Let me get into more details: When you choose a product and go for check out, there is a checkbox that says I agree to the (Terms and conditions) The terms and conditions is a link.
Problem is, that it only works in Admin. I would delete the old checkbox and add my own with a liquid, but I do not see where is the "source code" for the checkbox.
Here is the view when I go in admin: Online store -> Themes -> Customise -> Cart -> Now see the screenshot with the checkbox
And I would suppose, that the source for it should be here:
But there is no source for it.
Here is the error that it gives out while trying to open the link
I have tried finding the source to change the link HREF but nothing had worked yet.

I was wandering around the code, trying to find the "dot" marked to find the changed code. I thought, hmm, imagine if I randomly pick one and find it.. the next thing I did is I clicked et.json (it did not have a dot earlier) and found that the href= had a wrong domain name. As earlier sent screenshots show - the hint was "Check spelling."
Anyway, in CONCLUSION: I struggled to find where the source for the checkbox was, and after wandering around I found the source and the typo that was made in the domain name.
Thank you, Shay, for giving me an Idea of where it could be and how to search for it. Would have sat another couple of days wondering 😄
Hi @Hypeeee
Thank you for the screenshots! It looks like this checkbox has been added in through the theme code, possible by an app or a custom coding. Because of this, it doesn't have a section editor in the theme editor itself.
I recommend searching your theme file for the text displayed in that link. There is an integrated search when you go to Theme > Edit Code that you can use. You can also review sections that have had custom code entered into them, they are marked by a dot next to the theme code section title.

You have gave me a very great "hint" where it could be located.
I am using Parcely Widget and as you can see on the screenshot I have found this. Is the highlighted "shop.shipping.policy.url" the place where I should paste the link to the policy?
IF so, then why don't I see the text from the previous screenshot (In Estonian language, that says "I agree to terms and conditions" after checkbox?) Is it linked somewhere else then?

If you don't want to deal with coding we created a free app to add a terms and conditions checkbox to the cart
