Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I am setting up a store here to consider switching from woocommerce. However I have been unsuccessful at figuring out how to get customers to receive calculated shipping based on product dimensions. We sell nearly all one of a kind items and each has weights and dimensions that vary. To my surprise I do not see any default area within shopify product specs to enter L W H - it only asks for weight. Ive looked into apps, Ive looked into 3rd party calculations, it seems impossible. Surely there must be a solution.
@htchomestore you are right. There is no way to add dimensions within Shopify, and most apps follow suit. However, I would recommend you try out our multi-carrier shipping application for Shopify, which can add dimensions to the products and help you display carrier-calculated shipping rates to customers. The application lets you edit your products and enter details like LxWxH so that it can calculate shipping rates accurately using your shipping carrier account. You can also pick leading carriers using which you manage your shipping.
I hope you are aware that Shopify requires CCS to be activated (which requires Shopify Advanced or Plus plan) for applications to display shipping rates at checkout.
