Product Variants Break Shipping Profile

We use a third party app called Advance Product Options for our photography items which can have different materials, sizes, and frames. This has worked great for us until I built an Photography Shipping Profile so that we could build out international shipping zones. 

The problem occurs because Advance Product Options automatically creates a product variant when a customer adds a photography item to their cart. This new variant isn't added to the shipping profile unfortunately. So when the customer goes to check out, they can't complete the checkout as the variant isn't assigned to the profile. 

Is there another third party app that doesn't automatically create variants for complex products like this? Or is there another way to build the shipping profile that would recognize all the variants as they're created? My only solution right now is to manually go through and add every single product option to my cart and then select each variant that's created to the shipping profile. The problem is we have close to 800 photography products and approx 40 variant combinations for each.

1. Reach out to the Advance Product Options app developers and see if they can provide a solution to your issue or if they can recommend an alternative app that better suits your needs.
2. You could try using a different third-party app that allows for more control over the product variants and their integration with the shipping profile.
3. If you are comfortable with coding, you could try manually creating the variants for each product and ensure that they are assigned to the shipping profile. This may be a time-consuming process, but it could provide a more customized solution to your problem.

Advance Product Options has said there's nothing they can do on their end. 

Would you know of another app that provides complex variants for ordering, but doesn't affect shipping profiles?
