Hi, @Labas.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot!

It looks like you'll need to activate the country you're wanting to ship your products to, which in this instance is Canada, within your Shopify Markets settings. To do this, you can navigate to Settings > Markets, and check your markets list to see if Canada is already included in one of them. If it's already a part of a market, but the market is yet to be activated, you can activate it by clicking on Manage > Activate market. If Canada doesn't yet have a market it belongs to however, you can create a separate market for it by clicking Add market, as seen below. This should then allow you to successfully create the order on your end.

Are you familiar with the Shopify Markets settings on your store? This feature has recently been rolled out to the majority of merchants on the platform, helping merchants setup and manage their international sales. If you're looking to further optimise your cross-border selling strategy, I highly recommend taking a closer look at our resources below:

Hi,

What about Canary Islands that is not separate from mainland Spain and is having different VAT and taxes!? How we manage that? Not saying the GEO location tools who are integrating with Markets can do anything too...

Hi, @Cafeniu.

For context, the current version of our tax tool doesn't allow differentiating taxes between provinces. In your situation, our system treats Canary Islands as a part of Spain for tax calculation purposes. It isn't possible at this stage to separate Canary Islands as its own region, and to apply a special tax rate for orders being shipped to that region. I understand the importance of having this feature added to our tax system however, so I'll submit your feedback to our developers. Keep in mind that we can't provide an update or timeline for this request. Updates and new releases to the platform can, however, be tracked via the Changelog here.

In the meantime, I encourage you to contact our live support team about your case, as they'll be able to consult with our internal taxes team to provide you with any available workarounds. You can contact our team by logging in to your store on our Help Center here. Once logged in, select a topic that best fits your query or situation. From there, you'll be taken to a page with a list of relevant support articles, and you can scroll to the bottom of that page to select your preferred contact method with our team. Our live support team can then assist you further from here, and they can reach out to our internal taxes team on your behalf.
