When I try to order a product from my website, (To see that i have done everyting correctly with, shipping checkout and so on) i get this message at checkout.Screenshot 2023-08-02 11.51.43.png

I have been searching for answers for days now and tried all of the below to solve the problem.

- Turning test mode, on and then off a few times.

- Turning shopify payments, on and then off a few times.

- Adding hs codes To all of my products.

- Verifying my account. (My employee too)

- Adding two step authentication. (My employee too)

- I have a paid plan. (Advanced)

The Only thing I Know of that could solve the isue is register a vat number but once a enter my vat number (A swedish one) it says something like "Waiting to be verified" and 15 minutes later it says "couldn't verify". Then i go to look up more info about vat number and it says you don't have to register one until you meet your country specific vat sales. And since i havent made any sales, therefore I haven't meet the vat sales threshold, and therefore I don't need to register for it yet?

Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi, @hagI5.

Thanks for posting in our Community Forums about this, and for detailing all of the troubleshooting steps you've taken on your end.

A potential reason that prevents stores from accepting payments on checkout could be due to a Shopify Payments account being on hold. For context, when a Shopify Payments account is on hold, our accounts team and banking partners are currently authenticating and reviewing your account information to make sure that the information you've shared with them is accurate. Depending on the type of hold on the account (whether it's a payout on hold or an account hold), a store's checkout may not be functional during this time. You can find more information on the Shopify Payments review and verification process in this guide.

Generally, stores will see a red banner on their Shopify admin's homepage telling them to upload requested documents from our team during this review period — do you see a banner on your admin at all? If you do, you can proceed to upload the necessary documents, and from there our accounts team and banking partners will be able to continue with their review. If you don't see a banner on your end however, you can proceed with the following:

  1. Check your admin notifications by clicking the bell icon on the top-right hand side of your Shopify admin. This should then reveal all of the relevant notifications for your store. If your Shopify Payments account is on hold, and if our team requires you to upload specific documents, you should see a notification for this within this section. You can click on it to then be taken to the relevant page to proceed with your next steps.

  2. If you don't see any notifications related to your Shopify Payments account, you'll need to get in touch with our internal team so that we can take a closer look at your account to investigate why your store isn't currently accepting payments on checkout. To get in touch with our team, you'll need to login to your store via our Help Center here, where you can then proceed to create a support ticket with our internal team.
