"Your cart has been updated and the items you added can’t be shipped to your address."

I've recently added a new product and have started receiving the above msg whenever this item is in checkout. I've looked at some of the other threads here. Here are the steps I've done so far.

Deleted and remade the item
Made all weights in oz
Deleted and recreated the shipping zone.

Even items in the same shipping zone with the same item settings work fine. I'm not sure why this isn't working.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? I'll try anything at this point.

I could still use help with this, as I'm starting to think its something on shopify's end. With the product live, someone from Australia was able to make a purchase of the item in question, but it still seems to be broken for those here in the US.

I've temporarly been able to solve this by setting a flat rate for shipping in the US, but for whatever reason I can't get the USPS app to calculate shipping rates.
