Reactivating Shopify Payments

Kia ora, 

I relocated to Japan so needed to change my business address. As required I deactivated my Shopify Payments first and then made the necessary changes. However, when I try to reactivate Shopify Payments I get the message below: 

Could not activate Shopify Payments

  • Name has already been taken
  • you must disable Shopify Payments to use this provider

Not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The error message you're seeing is a known issue when merchants are looking to change their business address or location to a different country. In order to resolve this, we'll need you to contact our live support team who can then securely gather the necessary information from you and escalate your case to the appropriate Shopify Payments internal team.
