Recurring payments through mollie/ideal

We have a subscription model that we currently sell using one-off packages (1 year, 6 months etc.) but we are receiving requests from users whether it is possible to subscribe using monthly auto-recurring payments. Since our company is based in Holland and most of our customers are Dutch we are looking for a solution that uses the auto-recurring payments that is already available through mollie. Unfortunately, the plugins I have found through shopify don't offer this payment method and from what I have understood, they don't offer it because Shopify doesn't have  this payment method (it does offer mollie, but not the auto-recurring feature) available. Since Mollie (the service) already provides this method of payment, when can we expect Shopify to implement this in their own collection of available payment methods? I have seen several similar requests from a couple years back and I was wondering if there's made any progress?

I know Mollie has eCurring. But I don't think eCurring has an integration with Shopify.

For people that are still seeking for an answer, there is still no mollie option as of today. Recurring payments is only possible through stripe/credit cards using existing shopify plugins. The only alternative there is, is using the one-off payment methods as mentioned by the topic starter and handle subscriptions internally. It's a shitty alternative if you're dependent on iDEAL/Mollie. So I'm bumping this topic in the hopes shopify will implement this feature considering mollie already offers it..

Indeed there is no direct solution. I did a lot more digging on this topic and here is my findings.

- There is a company (Firmhouse) that is based in Rotterdam that actually does provide this service. Downsides are they are expensive (2% of sales value + monthly fee) and you need to go through their checkout instead of Shopify's checkout.

- I, for our webshop, used the following workaround. Use seal subscriptions app, it has 2 options auto-charge and recurring invoices. I went for recurring invoice and we send payment links for subscribers. Of course this is not an ideal solution as auto charge would be the best option but still ok for us.

I just built a webshop with Shopify and I'm see many of these kind of topics where important features are asked for a long time like being able to add extra charge for different payment methods,  and nothing happens. I'm already regretting the amount of time I invested in building my webshop. I will probably have to rebuild the site on a different platform while the shop is running because otherwise I will face roadblocks down the road.

I'm going to work with FirmHouse, dutch company that solves this problem (more or less). It is expensive but they are solving a problem.
