Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I tried asking the new (and terrible and frustrating) AI bot, since we can't even search the helpfiles anymore without it. No answer (no surprise).
Since our site was 'upgraded' against our will to the simplified check out our conversion rate has dropped 17%. I want to remove the simplified version and go back to where it was successful. There are no helpfiles. The words simplified check out don't even exist. Wasting time with the chat agents is more than I can bear, so am hoping someone can provide a link to a helpfile about how to revert back to the regular check out experience. Thanks.
Ask the the bot for a "support advisor" or human or some other keywords they arbitrarily change every so often to trigger real support.
You cannot switch back to 3-page-checkout layout, the 3 page checkout layout option is now only for Shopify Plus plans that want to use that mode, buried in the docs somewhere.
For stores on a non-Shopify Plus plan, one-page checkout is the default checkout experience and you can't switch to the three-page checkout experience.

It's ridiculously ironic how after years of merchants complaining they want a one page checkout it's finally here but they get forced to use it with no way to opt-in or out and there's a pattern of posts about the change literally costing merchants money.

Outrageous that they reduced our conversation rate by 17% - which means that Shopify is losing money too. I fail to understand how they run this business. If I ran my business like this we would be closed already. Not even the best of a bad lot anymore. Are the upper management of this org even aware of how poor this system is? How much money is being lost? Shareholders take note! New business model needs to be put in place. If they are only trying to go for companies that have enough money to pay thousands of dollars a month, who also have enough to pay their own coders to fix all the Shopify errors, then I guess the business model is successful.....
Update - Even Shopify finally realized they were damaging their own income by damaging the income of the stores. They have fixed this really fast and allow the three page check out again. They did, however, neglect to inform any of us. Discovered it by accident. @PaulNewton help spread the word if you see this come up? (@Shopify will not).
