Have you purchased a shipping label for UPS or USPS through Shopify Shipping? If so, we don't have direct access to intercept packages at this time, you will need to contact the carrier with the package reference number for help.
If you need to make a change to a shipping label, you need to void the label, make the changes to the order details, and then buy the label again. After you void a shipping label, the cost of the label is credited to your account. This amount is applied to the cost of any shipping labels that you buy in the future.
You can void a shipping label if it meets the following requirements:
It has been less than 30 days since you bought the label.
There have been no tracking events on the label, such as the shipping carrier accepting the shipment.
If you happened to purchase a label directly through the UPS website you can request UPS to 'Deliver to another address. You just have to trace the shipment in your UPS account, and click on 'Request Intercept'. On triggering this, UPS will provide 4 different options:
Return to sender
Deliver to another address
You can also redirect a USPS package that has a label. But before that, you have to check the eligibility of the package and this condition of the package is called a USPS Package Intercept. For a fee, USPS Package Intercept lets the sender or recipient stop delivery or redirect a package, letter, or flat that is not out for delivery or already delivered. Most domestic mailings with a tracking or extra services barcode are eligible for Package Intercept. You can only request a Package Intercept online. If eligible, you can submit your request online after logging in with your USPS.com account:
