Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I just opened my store and have a few, what I think are basic, questions. What happens to the item, for example a shirt with my company logo on it, that a customer is returning and wanting a refund for? Does it come back to us, meaning my company's physical location for us to sell in house? Or does it stay in stock to be resold on line?

Hi @loudawg39
Welcome to the Shopify community! How you handle your product returns and inventory restocking is entirely in your own hands, the only time that might change is if you are dropshipping or using a Print on Demand service.
If your product is being created/shipped by a POD or dropshipping service then the item would be returned back to you directly, and not the third party provider. In that situation you can choose to resell the product, fulfilling the order from the returned item stock you have on hand, or through the third party supplier.
Let me know if that answered your question. Feel free to reply back with some more specific scenarios if you need additional help with this.
