Select monthly plan but at the time of payment, I am getting one-time mandate for ₹15,000

Hi Teams,

I have chosen the below plan but at the time of payment I am getting the message 'You will be redirected to Razor pay to finish authentication and may be requested for a one-time mandate for ₹15,000. This will allow Shopify to automatically charge future bills below the mandate amount."

Note : I am completely new in this domain & please help me so that I can purchase it, I want monthly plan

To comply with the Reserve Bank of India's guidelines for processing recurring online payments, Shopify bill payments are processed through Razorpay, a secure payment partner. Adding or re-entering your card connects you to Razorpay, where you establish a mandate that permits Shopify to automatically charge your card each month. Whenever this mandate is used to charge your card, your bank sends a pre-debit notification to you through SMS, giving notice that Shopify will charge your card in 24-48 hours.

The message is very confusing for new merchants as well. It looks like they have to pay Rs.15000 during setup. It is not clear that it is the upper limit

I understand where you may be confused. To confirm, Shopify will not be taking ₹15,000. This is required via Razorpay to allow for automatic payments to take place on your account up to ₹15,000 if you were to incur that many charges during an invoice. You are essentially agreeing to automatic payments to take place on your account.

can i refund the one-time mandate amount ₹5,000

one time mandate of Rs.5000! Does that mean, this amount would get debited immediately from my bank account? I hope not. Could you please confirm? I am stuck there and didn't proceed assuming it would debit all 5000 even for the free trial.

Hi, The One-Time Mandate Fee of INR 15,000 is it refundable or that's a fee charged by RazorPay for the authentication and this is not refundable..!  Please advise.

hello ,I have contacted shopify and they said this INR15,000(card) or INR5000(UPI) is not the amount they will deduct,It is just a authorization that if you buy  on further things inside shopify like extra -apps,loox,extra-shipping charges,billing etc and if their amount will get equal to 5000 or less ,shopify will automatically deduct that amount(remember INR 5000 is too much I don't think anyone inside shopify will purchase apps that will cost INR5000.So  no need to worry in short it is just a mandate that is saying that even if a time your billing or other purchases inside app will get equal/incur to INR5000 shopify will automatically deduct that amount from account .Unless that not even single penny will be deducted)

NOTE:At the time of making purchase if you have don't even have INR5000 in your account ,no worries the payment will still get proceed..The 5000 mandate is just trying to say that if your billing or anything in shopify get incur up-to INR5000  they will deduct it automatically and if the amount is more than INR5000 shopfiy will not deduct automatically.)
