Services for shipping estimation/realt-time calc. for big packaging send from different location

We have been operating over the last few years as a collectible design dealer/curator and decided a few months back to take it to the next level. Here is our specific case

The shipping should happen directly from the designers to the buyer, however the designers are based all over Europe and even a few in US. Next as we are dealing with collectible design/furniture pieces, they are usually quite heavy and packed in crates. And last but not least, the pieces are of a high value and therefore should be insured accordingly.

Our goal is to get at the check out a shipping estimation or live-calculation. Would there be any apps/services that could help us with the shipping estimation for this very specific case (heavy/big crate packaging from different locations)

Hi @NikVandewyngaer,

Once you enable carrier-calculated shipping on your Shopify store, you can display live shipping rates at checkout for your orders. There are 3 options to enable this; 

• Add this feature for an additional $20/month on your current Shopify plan
• Choose a yearly subscription for your current Shopify plan, with which you can get this option for free and a 10% discount on your plan.
• Upgrade your plan to Advanced Shopify Plan

Once chosen, you can contact Shopify support to enable this on your store.

However, since your products are heavy, you will require freight shipping and this is not directly supported within Shopify. So, you can check out the Multi Carrier Shipping Label app that helps you integrate all top carriers and handle freight shipping easily. You can try the app with a 14-day free trial and contact the support for any assistance required.
