Dear Shopify Team,

 

I have been unable to activate Shopify payments on my store I keep getting the feedback ‘’The business name you entered doesn’t match the business name on the document.’’

 

The business name on the documents submitted is the same as what is written as the business name on the store admin dashboard.

 

I would appreciate your advice on how to proceed with activating the Shopify payments for my store as I am not certain where the origin of the mix-up is.

Shopify Support seems to be useless regarding our verification process. We have paid a Professional package in full for a year and we have our Shopify Payments on hold for 2 weeks already!

 

It is very frustrating just talking to someone (or something) on the chat of Shopify Support that doen't even know what we need to verify our business. Apparently the Verification team doesn't know either since our store is still on hold.

 

Let's see if someone here can bring some light, but I doubt it.

 

Maybe our only solution will be driving all the way to the Head Office in Ottawa and see if there is someone there that actually cares about their customers.

Were you able to solve this? I have the same problem, they don't even answer emails from Shopify Merchant..

Hey I'm having the same issue-- waiting for weeks for a "verification team" and no help from the chat support system. Have you had any luck since you posted?

We have the exact same issue.   

 

Shopify chat support is useless.  All they say are canned responses such as this 

 

" completely understand your perspective right now, and your feelings are totally valid. I have already coordinated with our Accounts Team, and our Business Operations Team mentioned that your ticket is in their queue now, and they will reply to you as soon as they can, so once you received an update from them, you can direct all your questions to the representative who will be e-mailing you. Rest assured, that the ticket is in the right hands, and you will be receiving the next steps soon."

 

And then no one does anything to resolve the issues.   it has been multiple weeks since i raised this issue with their support team.  We are a legitimate business; an LLC with an EIN and they simply cannot figure this out.    The site also says this:

 

"Shopify Payments sales pause in 17 days"

 

It says to update my details but also says this:

 

"You have reached the maximum number of attempts for submitting your details. You need to contact support to make any changes."

 

I think we really don't have many options except to move to another platform.  This is ridiculous.  This is a true joke of a support organization.  Never seen anything this bad before.
