Hi, @youssefhegazy!

Shopify Payments accounts are almost always region specific. However if you'd like to set up a Shopify Payments account for a different region than where you are located, you can submit your case to our Support Team. This will then need to be reviewed by our internal Merchant Tax and Risk Teams respectively.

There are certain conditions that you'll need to meet, as well as documents that our teams will require from you. Having the requested documents does not guarantee that you'll be approved for Shopify Payments, however. Our internal specialist teams will ultimately make the call regarding supportability.

For context, was there a reason that you'd like to apply for Shopify Payments in the US?

In order to use Shopify Payments US, a business would need to have physical operations on US soil. A USD checking account, opened with a US banking institution and located on US soil, is also needed. Virtual banks and currency services will not work for this, as it has to be a real US bank.

If you'd like to chat more about the requirements and processes in regards to applying for a Shopify Payments US account, you can reach out to our Support Team via our Help Centre here. Once logged in, type in your question or the topic you need help with. After that, you should see the Get Support heading at the very bottom of the page, and you can click Continue to start a support request. From there, you'll be connected with one of our Support Advisors, who will be able to help you further with your situation. If eligible, they'll also be able to help escalate your account for review to our Merchant Tax and Risk Teams.
