Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello,
I have successfully integrated out Shopify store over in Shipbob.
Shipbob has already received some inventory.
I am reading up on ShipBob's article "Ship Option Mapping" over at this link.
I am totally not following where do I put this ship option in Shopify.
My non-working flow:
Inside Add rate I can add either a flat rate or "Use carrier or app to calculate rates".
I don't want the flat rate as I want ShipBob to calculate the costs (they have dimensions and weights).
If I click on that "Use carrier or app..." it throws a message stating: There are no carriers or apps available for this zone.
What am I missing?
Thank you!
Hey there,
To display ShipBob rates "live" your Shopify plan must include the "carrier-calculated shipping" feature and the Shopify store must have the CartBob app.
You can check the "carrier-calculated shipping" status here: STORE -> SETTINGS -> SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
If you have the feature, install the CartBob app and see if that works. If you do not have the feature, you will either need to upgrade or add and map the rates manually.
HTH
Thank you for the reply!
I don't have the CartBob app installed, yet I do have the app titled "ShipBob Fulfillment by ShipBob".
I would guess it is the same with a name change, because searching for "CartBob" in the Shopify App Store doesn't bring up a result.
Then, on STORE -> SETTINGS -> SHIPPING AND DELIVERY, I do NOT have the "Enable third-party calculated rates at checkout".
About two months ago I contacted Shopify support to enable it.
There was some information on the Shopify pages stating that the lower-tier plans no longer offer this option.
Yet Shopify's support went "into" my store and enabled it.
Do you have an idea if this Shopify low-tier plans situation has changed?
I thank you for your help 1,000 times.
The online store is doing good, and I sent inventory to ShipBob trying to get these logistics out of my hair.
Yet now I think I'm a little bit stuck.
Thanks
