Shipping for giveaways/marketing

Hello! 

Our shop hosts giveaways and we send out promotional products for marketing purposes? We use shipping through Shopify (not a separate app). Is there a way to use Shopify shipping for this since its product not actually being sold? Thank for your help.

I'm wondering the same thing. Did you ever figure it out?

Are you able to make an empty label but not charge for the product?

No, unfortunately I was not able to find a way to make it work through Shopify. Hopefully if someone has a work around, they’ll let us know. I would love to keep everything contained within Shopify. If you figure it out, please let me know!

I created a new product line for each item that I would give away and labeled it Marketing and $0
So I created an order for each person I am sending it to.

I also had a problem if people chose LOCAL delivery- I was not able to change it and print a shipping label- SO frustrating. I had to duplicate each order just to be able to change the shipping method!
