Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi there!
I have a really important question and I need an answer fast. I just made my shopify store and when I tested it I noticed that if I put lets say us dollar for main currency, it is only possible for customers to set their location somewhere in US when they are about to checkout, even if they aren't from US. How can I fix that? I just need to set the country/region field in checkout page so people can put any country and adress they want.

Hi, @ArteoIdeas.
To confirm, do you see something like the image below on your checkout page?
If you're wanting to offer shipping to other countries outside of the US, make sure that you've set up shipping rates for your international destinations. If you've done this on your end, you can navigate to Settings > Markets on your Shopify admin to check if you also have the relevant markets activated on your store. If you see a market that should be active but hasn't yet been activated, you can click Manage > Activate, as seen below. This should then also activate the region within the dropdown option on your checkout page. You can check this help guide for more information about this.
If a region you'd like to ship to hasn't been added as a market though, click on the Add market button instead to create a new market specifically for that region.
Once the correct markets have been set up for your international shipping destinations, you can test your checkout again to see if the countries and regions will now show up within the dropdown list. Remember that you can also fully test your checkout by putting your payment provider on test mode, to make sure that the checkout process is operating smoothly and as intended. We have instructions here that you can check, if you need guidance on how to place a test order on your store. If you're using Shopify Payments on your store, follow the instructions listed here instead.
Apart from this, how is your international selling strategy looking? For some tips and tricks on optimizing cross-border selling, feel free to keep the below resources handy:
