Shipping Profiles

Solved

Hello!

I hope I can explain this right. So, I drop ship and created a few rates. Free shipping for Domestic Over $100+, Free for international for $175+, and then I have a supplier who ships only to the U.S. BUT they do shipping based on weight. So, I thought I figured it out earlier. I created a shipping profile for only the weight-based products and this is based in the U.S.

I was updating vendor names, then I go back and to my surprise, some products ( 103) transferred to my weight-based-only profile. No other products are weight-based besides the ones I put in the weight-based-only profile.  Why would it do this and how do I prevent this?

*** I deleted the non-based weight products and put them back in general.. now they are back!! ***

Thank you.

This is an accepted solution.

I got it to work. I added another condition by vendor.

Hi,
Just a speculation, I am might be wrong.
Aren't you using our app Shipr to automatically assign products to shipping profiles?

When you updated the product's vendor, the app must have got triggered (the app triggers on any product create or update) and must have changed the shipping profile based on your rule.

If this is not the expected behaviour then either the should check the rule that you created. Also, reach out to the support team inside app for more assistance.

Hello! I am but, in my rules I set it for my second shipping profile.. not general. So, im not for sure why all my non-weighted items went into a profile that was meant just for weight-based.

Perfect. I was about to check your settings today. Sorry for the delay, I was a bit occupied with some emergency.
