Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello...I'm currently working on a project and having some trouble with the shipping rates. It appears that shipping has been set up properly through USPS. When I add ONE product to the shopping cart, I get a designated shipping rate. However, when I increase the number of products and update the cart, the shipping rate doesn't change and it should. What am I missing here?
Hi @cosmic-s,
Since you are using a default saved package as shown on your screenshot, it looks like the USPS shipping rate reflects this particular package. Therefore no matter how many items you are adding in cart shipping rates remain the same, because they are based on the same package (48x7x7 in, 1 lb). Try to change the default package parameters and you should get a different rate.
I assume this is how the "default package" feature is designed to work, which is a well-known and huge limitation for sure.
