Shipping setup for items of different sizes/weights/values

Hi.  We have an art and gift shop.  People could purchase a pair of earrings for $20 or a piece of art for $3k.  We have wall art, pottery, jewelry, industrial sculptures, candles, cards, hats, and more.  Things of different shapes, sizes, weights, and values.  We use Quiickbooks and Webgility to update inventory.

What is the best way to set up shipping when a customer could order multiple items that are so disparate and want one package?  It seems like flat rate may not be an option.  Do you price by size and weight (and can it handle that with multiple items)?  

This is the last piece of the puzzle before going live and I am struggling to figure this part out.

I think the best way to achieve this will be the box packing. Since you have items of different shapes and sizes, you will need a shipping solution that calculates both product weight as well as dimensions. Based on this understanding I think Multi Carrier Shipping Label App will be the right solution to this. The app allows you to configure your product weights & dimensions and automatically picks up the right box for packaging. You can also create your own custom boxes based on your requirements.
