Shopify and Amazon Multi Channel Fulfilment Integration

Hi guys,

I am a current Amazon FBA seller in the US and am in the process of launching my own Shopify website.

I currently sell 3 of my products with Amazon FBA in the US only, but will sell many more on Shopify. For the 3 products I currently have with Amazon FBA, I would like to fulfil these using Amazon MCF. The issue is that, as far as I am aware, this will only work for customers based in the US, whereas I would also like to be able to fulfil international orders on my website for these products.

I have searched a lot but cannot find a solution to this problem -  I want to fulfil from Amazon FBA if the order comes from the US and self-fulfil if from anywhere else. Likewise, I would like to set it to self-fulfill if there is no stock in Amazon FBA USA for these 3 products.

How would I set this up in Shopify? Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution? Thanks so much for the help.

This is an accepted solution.

I've done this on a few stores, and wrote a guide with steps to do what you're looking for: https://speedboostr.com/automate-order-fulfillment-on-shopify.

- For international orders, they can't be fulfilled by Amazon so they'll just be ignored. You can self fulfill them (steps in that guide).

- For not fulfilling if no stock, when your item goes out of stock in Amazon then you'll want to change the "inventory managed by" in Shopify to something other than Amazon. For example, I see people changing to Shopify fulfilled when an item is out of stock.

- You can set low stock notifications to your staff to know when stock is low. Amazon will typically reserve some inventory for FBA orders, so I would set the notification for when stock is under 10 or even 20, the amount they hold I think depends on sales velocity in FBA.

- If you're doing low volume, I would just have staff go in once a day to request the fulfillment to Amazon. If you want to automate the fulfillment at some point you can use Order Automator (I'm the lead dev so if you need help or customization just give a shout).  This is useful if you have some products fulfilled by FBA and some manually or within another service... if you only have FBA products then just set Shopify to auto-fulfill all orders automatically.

Additionally this might be helpful - check out multi-channel revenue and cost tracker at one place

https://apps.shopify.com/entvin

It tracks Amazon, Amazon ads, Shopify, Google & FB ads

Hi Mblaggers,

Your decision to move forward with your own Shopify website is a fantastic step and we congratulate you for going ahead with the same. Since you are already an Amazon FBA customer and sell 3 products with FBA in the US itself, selling products outside of the US using FBA will bring in issues of their own.

However, there is a really easy solution for this problem of yours that involves selling your products outside the US. You just need to integrate your Shopify store with your Amazon store through a native sales channel app that’ll allow you to go multichannel with your sales.

The Shopify store is filled with excellent sales channel options.

However, one of the options that I would suggest you check out is the Amazon By CedCommerce sales channel app. Featuring an overall rating of 4.8/5 on the Shopify app store, the Amazon by CedCommerce sales channel app is a popular option among global sellers.

Talking of features, the Amazon by CedCommerce app comes with a really useful set. Some of the features include:-

  • Multiple Amazon account connectivity

Through the Shopify store, you can link and control multiple Amazon Accounts and their listings from one spot, as long as the accounts belong to the same country.

  • Support for all Amazon Categories

The Amazon by CedCommerce app allows you to sell products from all categories without restrictions. Build your catalog & also sell handmade Products on Amazon across 14 subcategories

  • Set Product Templates

Set templates for products to reduce redundant steps every time new products are uploaded by predefined Inventory, Price, etc., as custom rules to be implemented on the products.

  • Create Listings & Offers

This feature allows you to directly upload Product feed from Shopify to your Amazon Seller Account. You can also place offers for the existing products.

  • Near Real-Time Inventory tracking & Synchronization

Synchronize your Shopify inventory in near real-time with Amazon. Also, track them from Shopify Dashboard itself. Perform operations such as editing price, description, and other relevant information without switching platforms. Keep checking the inventory count by setting a minimum threshold limit to avoid overselling. Track Product Status highlights and set auto-delete for inventories that go out of stock to protect seller performance.

  • Manage Orders & Shipment

Our Shopify-Amazon integration app also ensures that all the orders generated for your listings on Amazon are synchronized with the Shopify Sales channel and can be attended to right from the Shopify panel. Also, get prompt notifications for orders generated or failed. Additionally, you’ll get tracking information and updated status for Amazon orders from the Shopify panel.

And the best part? You can try all these features for FREE with a Free plan that allows you to check out the app first and then choose a subscription plan depending on your business needs.

Hope this helps!

I can recommend you to try M2E Cloud tool - Shopify to Amazon integration app

It connects your Shopify store with Amazon in a few clicks without any guides. This solution syncs everything you do in Amazon or Shopify and it is a free solution.
