Shopify default payment on checkout

Hello,

When testing my checkout, I see that Shopify always selects a default payment. On some of our websites it's Paypal, on others it's Shopify Pay.

How is this configured? Can we change this ourselves in the settings?

It sounds like you are referring to the prompted express checkouts on the Buy It Now button, is that correct?

The accelerated checkout button prompts customers to use their preferred express checkout option based on cookies stored in the browser and the device you are using. If you are on an iPhone and have Apple Pay setup, then it will most likely prompt for Apple Pay. Google Pay, if you are using an android device. If you test in an incognito browser window or directly after clearing your browser cache and cookies you will most likely not see any accelerated checkouts and it will just show "Buy It Now".
