Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I have been having a problem with Shopify Payment accepting my verification. I have sent 3 official documents to them, my Corporate Business Certificate, the official Profile Report with the address on it and names me as director, and a letter from the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Companies containing the BN number given by the federal government. They still won't accept the information. They suggest sending a notice of assessment, but it's a new business and I haven't filed taxes for the business yet. I'm at my wits end, I'm ready to launch my store. I need help.
It sounds like Shopify is asking for additional documentation to verify your business. Since your business is new and you haven't filed taxes yet, try sending other official documents, such as your business registration certificate, an account statement showing your business bank account details, or proof of your business address. You could also reach out to Shopify support to explain your situation and see if they can suggest any alternative documentation, like your incorporation certificate or any other official government documents that confirm your business's legitimacy. Sometimes, getting in touch with their support team directly can speed up the process.
I've already done that, 2 times. They keep asking for more. I have uploaded the documents they had suggested. Already sent them my Business registration certificate. I've already sent them my profile Profile of Entity Report which includes that I am the Director and my address. And I have included the letter I received that gives me my BN. Support put in 2 tickets to the Merchant Verification team. Some of the accepted documents are the ones I've already sent but they don't accept them...or don't actually look at them to see they are official. My GST tax number is already linked to my account, and so is my bank.
