Yes, that is correct. If your Shopify Payments payouts are put on hold, you can still accept payments from customers but will not receive the payouts on a regular schedule. Typically, these payouts are placed while our Payments team reviews documentation requested from a merchant, although a hold may be placed for other reasons. You should receive an email from our team explaining why the hold is in place, what steps are required to lift the hold, and when you can expect to receive your payouts.
If you have not yet received an email from our team about this hold, please contact our support team directly so that this can be sent to our Payments team for review.
