Shopify Payment Gateway option for selling in US as international merchant

Shopify Payment Gateway option for selling in US as international merchant

I am based in UAE and am working on making a Shopify store to sell print-on-demand products in the US. My vendors are Printify, Printful, Gelato and Subliminator. I have a US bank account but I do not live in the US. The issue is that as my location is in UAE, I can't use Shopify Payment Gateway. The other options Shopify offers are all local that can be integrated with only local banks and also require a local trade license. I do not have a UAE business bank account nor do I have a trade license as I am not planning to sell anything in UAE. What are my options? Paypal business account wants a license, Stripe wants a license. I have heard that 2Checkout hates dropshipping and doesn't approve of new websites; the site should be live and making sales. But how can I make sales if Shopify isn't giving me any option to sell in the US as an international merchant? Will appreciate your help.

Hi there @XXX1!

Thanks for sharing that info on your situation with us here in the Community.

While I can't speak for the specifics of non-Shopify gateways, I can confirm that any payment processing company will have requirements in terms of verifying their customers' identity and their business location.

I know that for Shopify Payments, in addition to a US bank account, you would need a physical address for your business to prove that you are conducting business in that country.

This is a hard requirement, without which an application to use Shopify Payments USA will almost certainly be denied.

As such, you would need to look into the options available where you are as you have discussed yourself here.

We wouldn't have any control over the policies or requirements of these third-party providers, so you would need to continue to research your options there or consider applying for any licensing as required.

Have you settled on a product niche for your dropshipping store or are you thinking about what to sell still?
