Shopify Payments Account Suspended

Shopify Payments Account Suspended

Hi everyone,

I'm facing a serious issue with my Shopify store. My Shopify Payments account has been suspended, and we've been trying to resolve the verification issue for several months. We've submitted all the necessary documents, and every time we contact support, they say they will get back to us, but nothing has been resolved.

Now, with the account suspended, we can't process payments, and we're losing sales and customer trust. We need an urgent solution!

Has anyone experienced this situation before? How did you resolve it? Is there any way to speed up this process?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Hi @InsideBox

This is a frustrating situation, but there are a few steps you can take to escalate your case:

  1. Check the Shopify payments email – Look for any emails from Shopify Risk or Shopify Payments teams regarding specific reasons for the suspension. If unclear, reply directly to that email for clarification.
  2. Contact Shopify Support via multiple channels – Since standard support often has limited access to Payments issues, try live chat, phone, or Twitter (@ShopifySupport) to escalate your case.
  3. Submit a support ticket with urgency – Open a ticket via Shopify Help Center and clearly state how this is affecting your business.
  4. Consider alternative payment gateways – While waiting, enable PayPal, Stripe (if supported), or another third-party gateway to keep sales running.
  5. Request a manual review – If your documents were submitted but not reviewed, ask Shopify to escalate the case to the Risk & Compliance team directly.

If you’re still not getting a resolution, consider legal consultation if funds are being withheld for an extended period or consider opening a new Shopify Payments account (if permitted) or migrating payment processing elsewhere. Hope this helps!
