Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
We're already two days into the suspension of payment methods and payouts.
No matter how much information we send, we keep getting emails with dates that don't even make sense, saying that if we don't check the account, it will be suspended. It's been suspended for two days and the automated emails keep coming.
They ask for utility bills but forget that the business owner may not have his household bills in his name, but his wife's instead. They ask for a bank statement when I don't even know if the bank issues statements saying that a certain person lives at that address. Does the bank know if the person lives at that address? The bank only knows that that was the address the client gave it.
We've already sent proofs with the company name and address and proof of motor insurance with the owner's name and address. And they still won't accept it.
In the meantime, sales fall, customers complain that we don't have basic means of payment and our image is damaged. And for what? Because shopifiy payments believe that everyone has to send the specific document they want and that nobody understands what it is or doesn't have it for completely understandable reasons.
Our company has had a Shopify account for many years and has always worked well with third-party payment methods in an online shop. Now we've opened a second online shop and have decided, for convenience, to join Shopify Payments. The result is disastrous and damaging to our business. The support provided is insufficient and unable to find a solution.
