Shopify Payments and Payout on hold for weeks

It’s been almost three weeks since Shopify put the payment processor and my payouts on hold. I never got an email, just a notification in the admin.

I’ve sent multiple emails but never got a reply. I contacted live support through chats but they just say the issue has been escalated as set as urgent. It’s been three weeks!!! No documents have been asked for, nothing whatsoever. I don’t even know what is going on. This is so stressful, I just want to be able to get back to work.

I understand the need for reviews but you shouldn’t put businesses on hold for this long. I know I’m not the only one because I’ve read about so many people going through this same thing.

Please I need help, I need my money and I need to continue business, because I don’t know what else to do right now. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you!

I experience the same issue FCK Shopify. No reasons. Chat with customer support, they told me that my account is in good standing, no issue, but dont know why NO PAYOUT since Sep 28.

Hello Doniqua,

Is your situation resolved? Because for me, my funds have been blocked since September 6th. It's been 1 month now. No emails, no information, support escalates my file every day but no news and their solution is to just wait, I'm desperate.

Same.  I have been in business with Shopify for 10 years and nothing has change my end and NOW, with no notice, no information they are holding $25K hostage.  Last month it was $43K and after HOURS on chat with support, suddenly the next day it was released.  This is outrageous and a violation of Shopify's own terms (payments are made each business day).  Ironically, while they are holding my money hostage, I am being hit up CONSTANTLY  by Shopify Capital to loan me money because my business is so good.  Class action, anyone?
