Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello everyone,
I’ve been a dedicated Shopify merchant for quite some time, operating my online store without any issues—good customer feedback, reliable order fulfillment, and no record of major complaints or policy violations. Recently, however, I encountered a situation that has been nothing short of devastating: Shopify unexpectedly suspended my Shopify Payments account without providing any clear reason. They requested certain documents for review, and I promptly submitted everything they asked for. Unfortunately, the account remains suspended, and there’s been no clear follow-up or resolution from their side.
To make matters worse, Shopify is blocking me from switching to third-party payment gateways (like Stripe or PayPal), claiming that I'm currently using Shopify Capital or Shopify Credit—even though I’ve never signed up for either service. My store is essentially unable to accept credit card payments, and my existing funds are frozen. It’s a huge blow to my business, and I’m desperate for a viable solution.

Maybe you can contact them via social media - Shopify Support on Twitter/X (@ShopifySupport) tends to respond faster. Public visibility might help push your case forward.
Also, check Shopify’s Terms & Policies – If your industry or products might be flagged under Shopify’s Acceptable Use Policy, that could be a reason for suspension.
You can try request a manual review, ask specifically for a higher-tier review of your case, mentioning that you’re unable to switch to third-party gateways despite not using Shopify Capital.
If Shopify remains unresponsive, explore moving to BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or other platforms that allow full control over payment gateways 🙂
